Anonymous asked: i switched to mac quite a while ago, but i've always missed that BIOS screen at start up. what's the mac versions of BIOS? is there even a equivalent? how would i throw a BIOS screenie in during the 4 second mac boot screen? i could look it up but you probably know off the top of your head cuz u smaht!

I’m not sure I smell what you’re steppin’ in, but I’ll give you some hints.
If you are looking to change the boot logo on the start up screen (that grey Apple logo screen) you can use something called BootXChanger. They include a few logo replacements and some info on how to make your own. It’s VERY specific what type of images you can use.
If you’re looking for information on the boot process, there’s also useful info you can get by starting up the computer and holding the V key. That will put the computer in verbose mode. Try it out- you can turn verbose mode off using the same method.
