How To Be An 'Expert' During An Apple Event
Make fun of the way it looks and call it “unusable”. Sit back down in front of your enormous PC desktop running Windows XP with old installers and indecipherable driver filenames covering your wallpaper.
Say the name “iPad” is stupid. Hate the product based on that fact alone.
Make fun of the name again. Funnier this time. Look desperately around the room for validation...

ITAPPMONROBOT. This tickles me. →
At the turn of the 21st century, Initrode Global’s server infrastructure began showing cracks. Anyone that had been in the server room could immediately tell that its growth had been organic. Rackmounted servers sat next to recommissioned workstations, with cables barely secured by cable ties. Clearly there had been some effort to clean things up a bit, but whoever put forth that effort gave...

Apple and Microsoft in talks to make Bing the...
go:
On Monday we asked, based on some rumor rumbles, could Apple snub Google and set Microsoft’s Bing as the default search engine on the iPhone’s browser? BusinessWeek says yep.
OH yea no businessweek is my go-to for all things technology related. /s. I will go ahead and guarantee that this will not happen. If Apple makes bing the default search app, I will throw up all over my keyboard.

Apple Tablet Rumors
topherchris:
The internet is abuzz with reports that Apple is preparing to announce a tablet computer this month. Here are some of the most exciting rumors about the device.
Tweaking your résumé in iWork on a tablet will be the most fun you’ve had since being employed.
The battery is recharged by whispering nurturing things to it, singing to it, and sleeping with it.

newsweek:
Summers, writing in Tech Shifts, on why Conan should abandon network TV altogether:
Conan has always appeared to be more interested than his late-night peers in pushing the comedic envelope. David Letterman may break the fourth wall and make characters out of his crew, and Jimmy Fallon may have experimented with Webisodes before his program launched. But only Conan will improvise a...

Fellow Apple Fans:
Seriously, enough the iSlate and iPhone 4G mockups. Every time I look at the #iPhone or #Apple tags on Tumblr I see a mockup someone posted about the last iPhone refresh. Be patient and let Apple do the designing. You’re confusing the people who don’t know enough about it and they repost it as truth.

why i REALLY love the internet
amber-rae:
no one cares about what you’re eating, doing, thinking? this is why Twitter, Facebook statuses, foursquare shouts and the real-time nature of the internet are lame? no, media that proclaims this. you are lame, in fact. and i’m really sick of hearing you say this. i care about my friends. therefore, i’m delighted and excited to know what they are eating, doing and thinking. having...

Mac vs. PC People: Traits and Media Choices →
This report examines the differences in selected preferences and opinions of self-described “Mac People” vs. “PC People”, with a particular focus on their respective aesthetic preferences, media choices, and personality traits. The report draws on aggregated data collected between April 2009 and November 2009 from Hunch, a website which aids in decision making.
By far the best illustration of...
