New Logic and Final Cut released →
As a regular user of Logic Pro studio I think the usability improvements will be an awesome thing to try when I finally can pony up the cash. “Flex Time”, the new timing correction feature for Logic might just be the fix for the problems I’ve always had being such a perfectionist with trying to make a multi track project sound more like a band played it live. I’d really...
A gadget for my health
Hey guys. Normally I wouldn’t try this type of thing but in this case it’s a step towards getting healthy and saving some money along the way. I decided recently that it was time to get my shit together and save up for the next step. Anyway, here’s the setup: I need to pull together about $80 so I can try switching to the electronic cigarette. I was offered a discount on...

Unappreciated Genius
A man sat at a metro station in Washington DC and started to play the violin; it was a cold January morning.
He played six Bach pieces for about 45 minutes. During that time, since it was rush hour, it was calculated that thousands of people went through the station, most of them on their way to work.
Three minutes went by and a middle aged man noticed there was musician playing. He slowed...

Seriously Microsoft?!! →
Theres a check box in Excel for PC and Mac that you have to switch on and off per document to avoid getting dates changed by 4 years and 1 day. This is retarded.
I promise you'll love this. →
Cabel Sasser does many things. He’s one of the ones behind panic.com who makes Transmit, Coda and some other really good software for the mac. He has posted a great entry on fireworks names with a really great video at the end. I laughed out loud for real people. Click the link in the big black square and as always… enjoy.

New Gadget to Fend Off Paparazzi
“Using a photo cell that reads light and LED lights controlled by a computer-programmable microcontroller, Harvey was able to create a device that registered ambient light levels and then picked up on jumps in the ambient light caused by camera flashes. When the sensor registered the sudden light increase, it sent a signal through a circuit to three small LEDs, which would flash for 1/15th...
A Movie Based on the Game Asteroids?!
“Talk about a stretch — making a movie out of Asteroids? I’ll be honest here, I can’t wait to see what they do with it. Was it a mining consortium, something with a grand political struggle? Was it pirates? What about warring factions bent on securing the last known resources of a valuable ore?”
I’m dying to see what type of story they come up with for this. It’s a...

Runpee.com released their iPhone/iPod touch app and it’s prettier than the website in my opinion. Now, while the previews are rolling you can sit in the theatre and take note of the best times to run to the bathroom during the movie. This is just one of millions of little conveniences the iPhone has brought to my life.
Dear comment-less tumblr blogs...
You’re missing out, guys. I mean really missing out. I’m finding tumblr blogs to be among some of the most interesting blogs out there. Some of the best haven’t added comment systems to their blogs and it makes me wonder why. You guys are throwing out some really good ideas and sharing lots of great info. I often find myself looking for the comment link and being really...
